This character was my answer to Marvel Comics' Equinox, the Thermodynamic Man.
While ripping off a store and escaping through a power plant, Helen Frio was stopped by a would-be vigilante who threw a live wire into direct contact with her. The electrons corruscated around the outside of her body, and when the power line at last fell away, a change had taken place. She realized her new-found powers almost immediately, and used their primitive form to dispose of the one who'd thrown the power line on her.
Her body randomly fluctuates from -195°C, cold enough to form liquid nitrogen, to 1600°C, hot enough to melt iron and fire pottery. Currently, she can fire any temperate extreme in a thin blast, allowing for beams of flame-making heat or air-wrenching cold. It is not known whether this power will eventually enable her to fly, though she now has complete control over her body temperature.
My early notes on this character state this: "Due to the nature of [her temperature control], she is immune to heat and cold based attacks if she's aware of their use at the time, and doesn't take full damage from electricity in any case." As shown on the character sheet above, I interpreted this heat/cold/electricity invulnerability as simply a high resistant Energy Defense.
