Bulletproof is a street punk who was subjected to a shady surgical procedure. Titanium steel plates were placed beneath her skin, and her normal skin replaced by a cheap plastic substitute. The process necessitated the removal of her breasts, which upset her quite a bit. She has vowed to get even with the cretins who did this to her, just as soon as she finds out who they are.

An electronic modification also allows her to ignore pain. Since the placement of her armor removed her mammary glands, she can go out in public topless, and in fact that's how she prefers to dress.
